1. Overview

Welcome to Spring Tide Perinatal Services (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our website, services, or educational materials (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Nature of Services

We provide prenatal education classes, private perinatal consultations, and postpartum doula support. All Services are educational and supportive in nature and are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We are not registered healthcare providers, and our services are not a substitute for care from a physician, midwife, nurse, or other regulated professional.

You are encouraged to consult your qualified healthcare provider regarding any medical questions, conditions, or concerns.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services. If booking for yourself and a partner, you agree that both participants will comply with these Terms.

4. Bookings, Payments, and Cancellations

  • Bookings: Spaces are limited and confirmed once payment is received.

  • Payment: Fees are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are due at the time of registration unless otherwise stated. Payment plans are available for Postpartum Doula support packages. Contact us here for more details.

  • Cancellations:

    • For group prenatal classes, Spring Tide Perinatal Services abides by a clear no-refund policy. By registering for our class, you agree that all fees paid are non-refundable. Should an unexpected circumstance arise that leaves you unable to attend class, contact us as soon as possible so that we may explore alternative options subject to availability and approval. In the rare instance that Spring Tide Perinatal Services needs to cancel a scheduled class, we will work to reschedule to another day and time, or provide a refund.

    • For one-on-one perinatal consultations, Spring Tide Perinatal Services abides by a clear no-refund policy. Under exceptional and unprecedented circumstances, partial or full refunds are solely at the discretion and approval of Spring Tide Perinatal Services. All fees are required to be paid in full prior to services rendered.

    • For Postpartum Doula support services, a non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your space on the calendar, which will be applied to the final payment. If paying for hours without a package, a non-refundable retainer equal to 50% of the total fees will be required. All fees are required to be paid in full prior to services rendered.

5. Client Responsibility

By participating in our Services, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are responsible for your own physical and emotional wellbeing.

  • You will not rely on our Services for emergency or medical needs.

  • You will seek immediate medical attention if you experience concerning symptoms or complications.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We make no guarantees regarding outcomes of any birth, pregnancy, or postpartum experience.

  • We are not liable for any damages, injuries, or losses arising from your participation in our Services or reliance on any information provided.

  • Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific Service giving rise to the claim.

7. Intellectual Property

All materials, text, images, recordings, and resources provided through our Services are the intellectual property of Spring Tide Perinatal Services. You may not copy, distribute, or reproduce them without prior written permission.

8. Privacy

We collect, use, and store your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Conduct

We are committed to creating an inclusive, respectful environment. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate Services to anyone engaging in harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on our website with the “Last updated” date revised.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of British Columbia.
